Jennifer Aniston returns to the #1 Glamour Girl position with her co-starring role in the Jim Carrey comedy “Bruce Almighty,” which is soaring rapidly toward the $200 million mark at the box office. Pamela Anderson—who hit #1 last week for the first time since October 2001—is #2 with her hot pictorial in British Maxim and remarkable Vargas-girl mostly-nude cover layout in the June Stuff. Italian enchantress Monica Bellucci, featured in “The Matrix Reloaded” (about to surpass $250 million) as Persephone, and also with sexy cover layouts in British FHM and DT, is #3. Vibe and German GQ cover girl Jennifer Lopez edges up to #4 (boosted by her sexy music video for “I’m Glad”).

Achieving her highest Glamour Girl ranking to date, South African blonde stunner Charlize Theron surges to #5 with her action flick “The Italian Job” and splendid Elle cover feature. Ebony goddesss Tyra Banks is #6 thanks to her UPN model-search series, and her recent cover of Stuff. “X2: X-Men United” has earned $204 million so far, and its primary babes, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos (in the role of mostly-naked, azure-skinned Mystique; she’s also on the covers of Arena and Italian GQ) and People “50 Most Beautiful” cover girl Halle Berry (playing golden-haired Storm), are #7 and #9, respectively. In between them at #8 is Canadian country music sexpot Shania Twain with her hot new cover layout in Maxim. “Charlie’s Angels” cast cover features in Harpers Bazaar and Seventeen earn Cameron Diaz the #10 position.

Glamour girls earn points for each biweekly chart in the following categories:

1) Movies: The current Top 60 at the box office; films that recently left theaters; and pictures scheduled for release in the coming weeks. Note that a glamorous role in a mid-level film can earn more credit than a bland role in a bigger hit. Oscars, Golden Globes, and other honors are included; also, critical acclaim can earn the same credit as box office dollars.

2) Magazines: Approximately 150 U.S. and international publications are included in each survey. Magazines on newsstands during the survey period count most heavily; recent magazines of the previous few weeks count at reduced value. Covers earn more points than inside features; top-level magazines (Playboy, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, etc.) are accorded higher point totals than others; nude or semi-nude layouts get extra credit. Newspapers (most notably USA Today) and pin-up calendars are also included in this category.

3) TV: What’s on the tube during the two-week survey period, including first-run movies and appearances on late-night talk shows; Nielsen ratings and Emmy/Golden Globe awards also taken into consideration.

4) Internet: The major factors in this category are the Lycos Top 50, a weekly chart measuring the most-searched items through the Lycos search engine (including many glamour girls), and the daily top 100 rankings by DAI News tracking the women with the most photo downloads. Selected Web sites are also included, most notably Gateway to Eden, the Playboy Cyber Club, Mystique, Bomis, Ask Men.com, Famous Centerfolds, Danni’s Hard Drive, Adversus, VIP Models, Candy Dreams, Maxim, FHM & GQ websites, and others.
