Halle Berry, a marvel of consistency with nine consecutive weeks in the Top Two thanks to her Oscar-nominated performance in “Monster’s Ball” plus multiple magazine covers, is rewarded as she returns to the Number One position on the Glamour Girls Hot 100. Britney Spears is a very close #2 with her moderately successful movie “Crossroads” and her usual strength at newsstands and on the Internet. Alicia Keys, winner of five Grammy Awards, achieves her highest-ever ranking at #3. Cameron Diaz, currently gracing the covers of Cosmo and Marie Claire, is #4, followed by Jennifer Lopez with a chart-topping remix album and smash single. Oscar nominee Jennifer Connelly remains strong at #6, with HBO concert bombshell (and Grammy winner) Janet Jackson at #7 and British Maxim cover babe Pamela Anderson at #8. The two biggest stars of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue follow: cover girl Yamila Diaz-Rahi at #9, and Heidi Klum at #10. Tennis pin-up Anna Kournikova (#14) attains her highest ranking in several months due to her steamy music video with Enrique Iglesias. Dazzling Swedish centerfold Victoria Silvstedt jumps to #17 with hot layouts in Maxim and Loaded. The world’s sexiest best-selling author, Kim Cattrall, achieves a personal best ranking of #19 with the Top Ten sales of her book on sexual satisfaction. The parade of Sports Illustrated babes continues with #23 Molly Sims, #25 Daniela Pestova, #35 Ana Beatriz Barros, #38 Josie Maran, and #52 Elsa Benitez. Before the Winter Olympics fades from memory, several of its alluring standouts still shine on the Hot 100, most notably 16-year-old figure skating champ Sarah Hughes at #30, German speed-skating sexpot Anni Friesinger at #40, and co-gold medalist for pairs skating Jamie Sale’ (#48).
