After narrowly outdueling her closest competitors the previous two weeks, Halle Berry has kicked into an even higher gear as Number One Glamour Girl, leaving everybody else far behind. The combination of her Oscar nomination (with the big night directly ahead) and a host of magazine covers, particularly a sizzling new cover feature in the Spanish edition of GQ, gave Halle a comfortable winning margin; she has ranked in the Top Two for an amazing 11 consecutive weeks, four of those weeks at #1. Britney Spears is #2 again with a fine cover feature in French Elle, followed by Jennifer Lopez, who has risen to the top of the pop charts with her single “Ain’t It Funny.” Cameron Diaz is resurgent at #4 with the cover of Esquire and an upcoming movie. Oscar favorite Jennifer Connelly is #5. The two primary babes of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Yamila Diaz-Rahi and Heidi Klum (who also graces the cover of Ocean Drive), are #6 and #7. Aussie pop music queen Kylie Minogue leaps into the Top Ten for the first time at #8 with a Top Ten single, #3 chart album, and an array of magazine covers including Stuff and French FHM. Fellow pop music diva Shakira returns to the Top Ten at #9 with a fine cover layout in Maxim Blender. The queen of the Grammies, Alicia Keys, is #10. Former Playmate of the Year Victoria Silvstedt never lets up; a nude layout in Italian Maxim and a new ad campaign for Killian’s Irish Red Beer help lift her to #11. “Alias” star Jennifer Garner is back up at #15, followed by the delectable Kristin Kreuk of “Smallville” (#16, on the cover of Rolling Stone), and British bombshell Kelly Brook (#17, currently featured in FHM). Carmen Electra jumps to #19 on the strength of her hot cover spread in Loaded. SI Swimsuit Issue blonde Molly Sims cracks the Top 20 in the #20 position. Brooke Burke moves strongly to #21 with a cover layout in DT. Recovering from the flop of “Rollerball,” Rebecca Romijn-Stamos is back up to #25 with a nice cover feature in Elle.
